Listen as former IU basketball player Joe Hillman went in depth on the 1987 national title game on the 19 Nine podcast. Hillman discusses the preparation for the game, in-game adjustments by Bob Knight, the rise of Keith Smart, and the final seconds of the game. Hillman, a 6-foot-2 Glendale, California product, scored 733 points over four seasons with IU.  He averaged 12.6 points and 3.9 assists while shooting 58 percent from 3-point range for his final season in 1988-89. Former IU star Brian Evans joined The Ride with JMV on Wednesday to discuss Indiana’s loss at Rutgers, the state of the program under Mike Woodson, Xavier Johnson’s ejection, and much more. A native of Terre Haute, Ind., Evans played for IU from 1993-96 and is one of only 12 Hoosiers to win Big Ten Most Valuable Player honors in men’s basketball.
