Indiana offered the 6-foot-9 Ament in 2023.  The Virginia-based product is a top-20 5-star in the class. Marian Athletic Director Steve Downing introduced new Marian head basketball coach Pat Knight on Friday afternoon in Indianapolis. Downing and Knight were together at Indiana and Texas Tech when Bob Knight was head coach at both schools. Both Downing and Pat Knight played at Indiana. Listen in as former IU player and assistant coach Pat Knight, son of legendary IU coach Bob Knight, joined Jake Query Wednesday on The Fan in Indianapolis for a radio interview. Indiana will welcome some of the expanded Big Ten Conference’s marquee programs to Bloomington in 2024-25, and Sydney Parrish will make a return trip to Oregon. The league has announced women’s basketball league opponents for next season, via release. The conference will play an 18-game format once again. With the additions of Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington, each team will play one opponent twice, eight opponents only at home, and eight opponents only on the road. Via release, IU Athletics announced their 2024 spring graduates. The Indiana Department of Athletics celebrated spring commencement on Friday, May 3, as 104 student-athletes participated in graduation. “This is a special time of year and a special day for our graduating Class of 2024,” said IU Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Scott Dolson. “There is a lot that we want to see our student-athletes accomplish during their time on campus, and the number goal is to see them earn their Indiana University degree.
