Bob Knight’s legacy is now on the record in the U.S. Senate. A Senate resolution honoring the life and achievements of Indiana basketball coach Robert Montgomery Knight passed the United States Senate on Monday evening. Sponsored by Indiana’s U.S. Senators Todd Young and Mike Braun, the resolution celebrates Coach Knight’s achievements during 29 years at Indiana University, including coaching 11 Big Ten Conference Championship teams, 24 teams to the NCAA tournament, and the last team to go undefeated and win the NCAA tournament during the 1975-76 season. Tom Allen made a passionate plea in a release after he was fired by Indiana, calling on the school to fully embrace the new era of college football. Scott Dolson faces what will likely be the defining decision of his era leading the IU athletics department. It’s a battle of blue bloods as Indiana men’s soccer (14-4-4, 4-2-2 B1G) travels to face No. 7 national seed Virginia (11-3-4, 5-2-1 ACC) in the NCAA Tournament Third Round Sunday (Nov. 26) at Klöckner Stadium in Charlottesville, Va.
