The final piece to the IU basketball 2023-24 roster puzzle arrives on campus on Monday. After finishing up coursework, transfer forward Anthony Walker will join his teammates on the IU campus this week. They dominated the paint for IU’s basketball programs during the 2022-23 athletic year on their way to becoming two of the all-time greats to wear the candy stripes. And this week IU basketball reigned supreme when it came to the school’s athletes of the year honors. Former Indiana men’s basketball standouts Jalen Hood-Schifino and Trayce Jackson-Davis have wrapped up play at the California Classic Summer League and NBA 2k24 Summer League. The former IU duo performed much like they did in Bloomington during the 2022-23 campaign. For the Los Angeles Lakers, Hood-Schifino averaged 13.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in six appearances in the Sacramento and Las Vegas. Galloway discusses the improvement in his perimeter shot, his role on the 2023-24 team, and much more. As a junior the 6-foot-4 Galloway started a career-high 25 games in 32 appearances for IU in 2023-24. He played 27.5 minutes per contest. For the third straight season, the Indiana baseball program heard at least one of its student-athletes names called within the first 10 rounds of the draft. Senior Phillip Glasser and redshirt senior Craig Yoho were each selected in the 2023 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft on Monday (July 10). With the two selections, Indiana has had 105 Hoosiers drafted all-time for a total of 116 total draft picks.
