Former IU basketball star Victor Oladipo will be traded to Memphis according to multiple reports on Thursday. The Houston Rockets have acquired center Steven Adams from the Memphis Grizzlies for Oladipo and three second-round picks. Memphis will be Oladipo’s sixth NBA franchise, following stops at Orlando, Oklahoma City, Indiana, Houston and Miami. Oladipo, 31, is dealing with a patellar tendon injury in his left knee and has not played a game since April of last season. The Big Ten Conference has confirmed reporting last week as it relates to the men’s basketball approach to scheduling and the postseason tournament once USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington join the league in July. As reported last week, the league will keep the current 20-game regular season conference schedule.  The conference did announce a few more details regarding how the 20-game slate will be constructed: Each school will play every other school once, while playing three schools twice. A few schools in the expanded Big Ten will have to sit home and watch the 2025 basketball tournament. National college basketball reporter Jon Rothstein announced via sources the league will keep the current 20-game regular season imbalanced schedule format, but the postseason Big Ten Tournament will only include 15 of the 18 teams. Watch as new IU football offensive coordinator Mike Shanahan joined radio color commentator Rhett Lewis to discuss his early days in Bloomington. In addition to his offensive coordinator/play-calling duties, Shanahan is the wide receivers coach at IU. Shanahan has been with head coach Curt Cignetti since 2016. The 2023 James Madison offense led the Sun Belt in offensive efficiency through the regular season and finished No. 29 in the FBS in total offense (430.2 ypg).
