Indiana formally announced the addition of Miami (Fla.) transfer forward Anthony Walker on Tuesday morning, including comments by head coach Mike Woodson. The 6-foot-9 Walker joins the program with one year of eligibility remaining. Hoosiers for Good, one of IU’s two main and official NIL collectives along with Hoosiers Connect, announced another signing class on Tuesday morning. The latest group involves 24 Indiana athletes and 10 charities.  Highlighting the group are 12 members of the IU football team, and IU women’s basketball star Mackenzie Holmes. Last November, Indiana announced that an anonymous donor committed to matching up to $1 million in donations made to Hoosiers Connect or Hoosiers For Good. IU men’s basketball has had its academic house in order lately. After tiptoeing the line of postseason ineligibility during the Kelvin Sampson and Tom Crean eras, the program has been rock solid of late. The Hoosiers earned a perfect 1,000 APR score for the 2021-22 academic year, the most recent data released this week, and the program’s current four-year average is also now a perfect 1,000. Indiana fans learned to fear the APR under previous head coaches. As the academic year draws to an end, IU Athletics held its annual banquet on Monday evening to honor its student athletes. IU football’s Tiawan Mullen was one of the headliners, winning the 2023 G. Frederick Glass Director’s Award along with diver Margaret Rogers.  In total IU handed out 66 individual awards on Monday.
