Indiana announced the timing for the 2023 edition of Hoosier Hysteria, the basketball kickoff event for the men’s and women’s hoops programs. Hoosier Hysteria will start at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 20. The event is part of an action packed weekend in Bloomington that includes homecoming, and the IU football game against Rutgers. As previously reported, rap artist Gucci Mane will perform after the basketball action. Cornerback Jamison Kelly is no longer with the IU football program, coach Tom Allen announced on Thursday. Allen did not provide a reason for the midseason departure. A senior from Columbia, Miss., the 6-foot-1 and 195-pound Kelly was a participant in each of Indiana’s first four games this season. He was credited with one tackle in week two. He was named one of the team’s special teams player of the week following that week two game vs. Indiana State.
