With two games remaining in the regular season, Indiana women’s basketball is closing in on a potential sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth.
The Hoosiers aren’t quite in lock territory yet, with a much less sparkling résumé than they’ve had the last several years. But they appear to be in good shape heading into Thursday’s senior night game against No. 19 Maryland, and a win over the Terps should be enough to seal it.
As of Wednesday night, IU is ranked No. 30 in Bart Torvik’s T-Rank and No. 36 in the NET. Here’s how Teri Moren’s team is stacking up in various Bracketology projections with March rapidly approaching.
- NCAA.com projects IU as a No. 9 seed, facing No. 8 Florida State at South Carolina’s host site.
- ESPN is predicting Indiana will get a No. 9 seed, matching up against No. 8 Georgia Tech at Texas’ host site.
- CBS Sports also put IU as a No. 9 seed.
- Her Hoop Stats has the Hoosiers as a No. 7 seed, facing No. 10 Richmond at TCU’s host site.
- The Athletic has IU projected to make the tournament in its Bubble Watch.
