Class of 2024 5-star forward Liam McNeeley will visit Indiana for the second time.
The Montverde Academy and Plano, Texas product will come to Bloomington for a senior year official visit Sept. 8-10, he confirmed with The Daily Hoosier. The 247Sports Indiana site first reported he had set a date.
He also visited IU a year ago in September.
“The energy that Indiana has as a state and school is just crazy,” McNeeley told The Daily Hoosier about his first visit. “The fans show so much love, the coaches show so much love. It’s hard to not like Indiana.”
McNeeley went on to say more about what he liked about IU.
“The coaching staff, their energy at practice was so intense. They were all over the players and it was intense. It was a really good experience, and Assembly Hall is so big, it’s crazy. The fans are crazy too, and that’s not the same with every school that’s recruiting me right now.”
McNeeley is the No. 8 overall player in the 2024 class and the No. 3 small forward according to the On3 Industry Average. Over the first four stops on the Nike EYBL Circuit, he averaged 15.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game this spring. He shot 41.7 percent from three on 60 attempts.
The 6-foot-7 McNeeley recently named a top-six. Along with IU, he’s still considering Texas, Kansas, Michigan, Alabama and Oklahoma.
