IU’s top point guard target in the rising senior class named his top eight schools on Monday.
Kentucky, Alabama, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Maryland, UConn and St. John’s will battle it out for New York based primary ball handler Boogie Fland.
The 6-foot-3 Fland is the No. 7 overall player in the class of 2024 according to the On3 Industry Average, and he’s the No. 1 point guard in the class.
Fland visited Indiana in mid-June and walked away impressed.
“I love their environment, love the coaching staff, the fans are nice, everything about it is cool,” Fland told The Daily Hoosier. “It was all around great, I really liked it. I enjoyed myself.”
Fland has also visited North Carolina, Michigan, UConn and St. John’s. According to On3’s Joe Tipton, he hopes to visit Kentucky, Alabama, UConn, and Maryland in the month of September.
Fland hasn’t locked in on a firm commitment timeline.
