Indiana has made the cut for one of their main targets in the class of 2024.
5-star combo forward Liam McNeeley is down to six schools.
The 6-foot-7 McNeeley will choose from Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama and Michigan, he announced on Saturday.

While the announcement marks a milestone in McNeeley’s recruitment, these are the main schools he’s talked about over the last few months. What this news does suggest is that other high profile programs probably won’t be able to enter the mix and make a late move.
McNeeley told The Daily Hoosier in April what he’s looking for in a college system.
“An NBA style that’s going to show my NBA ability to the scouts and eventually get me to the league,” McNeeley said.
The Montverde Academy product took an official visit to IU in September and told The Daily Hoosier he’s considering a return trip to Bloomington this summer.
McNeeley is averaging 15.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game this spring on the Nike EYBL Circuit. He is shooting 41.7 percent from three on 60 attempts.
He is ranked No. 7 nationally in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Average.
The Texas product aspires to be a one-and-done in college, and he was impressed by the season another Montverde player, Jalen Hood-Schifino, had at IU.
“They had Jalen Hood-Schifino from Montverde, he’s going to be a one-and-done, and that’s what I’m trying to do,” McNeeley told The Daily Hoosier at the EYBL in Georgia in April. “Coach Woodson, he put in a great plan for Fino, and he’s a great basketball mind, so I think it can be good for me too.”
