Indiana will get an official visit from one of the top shooting guards in the 2024 class.
Arkansas based guard Annor Boateng will come to Bloomington Sept. 29 according to a report by Joe Tipton of On3.
Along with Indiana, Boateng is considering Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia Tech, LSU, Missouri, Ohio State, and Virginia Tech. IU, Arkansas and Missouri are thought to be his main schools.
Indiana offered Boateng a scholarship in April and have been pursuing him heavily ever since, including regular communication with head coach Mike Woodson.
The Daily Hoosier caught up with Boateng earlier this month at the Adidas 3SSB Championships in Rock Hill, S.C.
“It’s definitely a school I’m considering,” Boateng told The Daily Hoosier of Indiana. “They also have talked to my parents a little. And if you’re talking to the head coach now, that’s how you know they’re really engaged and really genuinely trying to recruit you. So as far as my recruitment goes, I am definitely considering them.”
Boateng is friends with IU center and fellow Arkansas product Kel’el Ware.
“He’s having a good time there and I know I probably would too,” Boateng said of Ware.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Boateng is the No. 29 player overall in the 2024 class. He’s the No. 11 small forward according to that outlet. He projects more as a shooting guard at the next level.
