7-foot class of 2025 center Eric Reibe will take an official visit to Indiana Oct. 4-6 according to multiple reports.
In total Reibe has scheduled six official visits in the coming weeks.
Here’s his full schedule:
- Kansas: August 29-31
- UConn: September 6-8
- Kentucky: September 13-15
- UNC: September 20-22
- Indiana: October 4-6
- Oregon: October 11-13
The Bullis School (Potomac, Md.) product announced his top 11 schools in July. That list included Creighton, Harvard, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford, UConn, and West Virginia. He has already visited Creighton and Harvard. Creighton is thought to be a strong contender for Reibe.
Indiana offered Reibe in May of 2023. He was not ranked at the time. His recruitment grew considerably since, and he moved up the rankings after a strong spring and summer this year.
According to the On3 Industry Average, Reibe is the No. 35 overall player in the 2025 class, and the No. 2 center.
IU assistant Kenya Hunter is leading the recruitment.
When the IU offer came in last year, Reibe was aware of Indiana basketball despite his German heritage.
“They have a rich basketball tradition, and a very enthusiastic fan base,” Reibe told TDH at the time.
Reibe has routinely said immediate playing time is a high priority, and that’s something Indiana should be able to offer in 2025-26. All of their centers will play their final seasons in college in 2024-25.
In an interview with 247Sports national analyst Dushawn London published last month, Reibe said he sees that opportunity to play as a freshman with IU.
“I would be able to play right away because two of their bigs will be seniors in their fifth year,” he told London. “I would come in and a spot would be open. They also always send pros to the league.”
The news comes just a day after 2025 center and IU target Malachi Moreno set a commitment announcement for this Friday, with all signs pointing to him pledging with Kentucky.
A native of Germany, Reibe is a modern five with the ability to make threes at a high rate. His highlights playing for the U18 German national team are below, along with an interview last week by Pro Insight.
