Dennis Scott III, a 6-foot-8 forward from Riverwood High School in Sandy Springs, Ga., and the son of former Georgia Tech All-American and 10-year NBA player Dennis Scott, posted on his Twitter account Monday that he has received a scholarship offer from Indiana. He said on his account that it is his first scholarship offer, and it is also Indiana’s first known offer in the class of 2024.
“Blessed to receive my first offer from The University of Indiana!” Scott said on his account, making the rookie mistake of misnaming the school. “Look forward to talking to Coach Woodson and his staff tomorrow!”
Scott’s father also announced the offer on his Twitter page, and he indicated he already had a discussion with Indiana coach Mike Woodson.
I want to say it’s official! @IndianaMBB has given @dscott1_ his first offer to Indiana University 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Thanks Coach Woody for our conversation. #Class2024 #LeaveIt 🔥🔥🔥— Dennis 3D Scott (@Dennis3DScott) June 21, 2021
