Indiana picked up its fourth transfer of the day when former North Carolina wide receiver Emery Simmons announced he is headed to Bloomington.
The 6-foot-1 and 190 pound Simmons had 243 yards and a touchdown in five games this year, including 110 yards against Georgia Tech in late September. He put his name in the transfer portal in early November.
For his three season career in Chapel Hill, Simmons had 30 catches for 516 yards and three touchdowns.
Simmons verbally committed to IU out of high school before decommitting. He also decommitted from North Carolina and Penn State in a wild recruitment before ultimately choosing UNC.
The Parkton, N.C. product was listed as the No. 13 player in North Carolina and the No. 35 wide receiver nationally by 247Sports. Simmons was considered a four-star prospect by 247Sports.
Earlier in the day Ole Miss defensive linemen Patrick Lucas and LeDarrius Cox announced they were transferring to IU, along with Miami, Fla. linebacker Bradley Jennings, Jr.
