Indiana’s Grace Berger was one of 12 players named to Team USA for the AmeriCup, an international event that will be played June 11-19 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The team leaves for Puerto Rico on June 8.
Berger averaged 15.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game this season to help lead Indiana to its first Elite Eight in program history. Berger led the nation with three triple-doubles and earned first team All-Big Ten for the second year in a row. She returns for her senior year having scored 928 points in three seasons, averaging better than 13 points per game in each of the last two seasons.
Also on the team are Aliyah Boston and Destanni Henderson of South Carolina, Jakia Brown-Turner and Elissa Cunane of North Carolina State, Veronica Burton of Northwestern, Naz Hillmon of Michigan, Rhyne Howard of Kentucky, Haley Jones of Stanford, Diamond MIller and Ashley Owusu of Maryland and Sedona Price of Oregon.
