It’s better late than never.
After missing on class of 2016 recruit Joey Brunk, Indiana has landed the commitment of 2019 graduate transfer Joey Brunk.
I’ve grown up an Indiana kid & I’m proud of where I come from. Excited to be an Indiana Hoosier & play for Coach Miller. Looking forward to joining the tradition. #IUBB

Having just finished his redshirt sophomore season, Brunk will have two years of eligibility left.
The 6-foot-11 center chose Butler over IU and others way back in 2015 before his senior year of high school. He was rated as a 4-star recruit in the class of 2016.
Brunk is immediately eligible for the 2019-20 season and fills a need on Indiana’s roster in a conference full of big post players.
An Indianapolis native, Brunk only averaged 18 minutes during the 2018-19 season and started just 13 times, but his per-40 minute stats highlight his productivity.
The Southport High School graduate averaged 16.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per 40 minutes while shooting 62% from the field.
With this news Indiana now has two scholarships available for the 2019-20 season.
