Slowly but surely more players in the transfer portal are being tied to Indiana as new head coach Darian DeVries continues to get his footing in Bloomington.
Here are three additional prospects Indiana has been reported to have at least made contact with. We’ll see if things progress with any of them.
Ante Brzovic (College of Charleston)
Brzovic (pictured above) was All-CAA First Team, NABC All-District Second Team. He averaged 18.3 points per game on a league best 54.4 percent shooting percentage while registering 8.1 rebounds per game, good for fourth in the league. He produced double-digit scoring in 29 of his 33 starters, including 14 20-point efforts and a trio of 30-point performances.
The 6-foot-10 and 225-pound Croatian shot 32.2% from three on 59 attempts, and 66.9% at the free throw line.
Brzovic is currently suing the NCAA for an additional year of eligibility.
Yohandry Ortiz (Miles College)
Ortiz is one of the top junior college prospects transferring to Division I. Indiana is one of a long list of schools involved.
The 6-foot-5 Naples, Fla. product has three years of eligibility remaining. Ortiz averaged 24.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game, while shooting 37.4% from three and 46.4% from the field over 27 games this season.
