During the offseason we’ll keep you updated on a weekly basis on the news and notes that occur related to the Indiana University football program. Here are the key notable events from the past week:
T.D. Roof Transfers to IU
T.D. Roof, a 5-11, 215 pound linebacker is transferring from Georgia Tech to Indiana. As a true freshman, Roof played in 11 games for the Yellow Jackets.
Kane Wommack Hired as Assistant Coach
The Hoosiers have added to the their coaching staff. Kane Wommack will coach IU’s linebackers. For the last 2 seasons he served as the defensive coordinator and linebacker’s coach at the University of South Alabama. William Inge, the current linebacker’s coach will move to special teams coordinator.
David Ballou Named the New Strength and Conditioning Coach
Former IU fullback David Ballou was named as the new Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach. Ballou had served in a similar role at Notre Dame during 2017. Prior to his brief stint with the Irish Ballou spent 14 years as the strength and conditioning coach at Avon High school. David played for IU in the late 90’s.
