We’ve kicked things off here at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
We heard rumors of a high-tech show — and a high-tech show it is.

Time to introduce the men’s team.
Incredible player introductions. The loudest applause was hands down for Romeo Langford and Juwan Morgan.
I think people must like this guy or something. #iubb pic.twitter.com/GdSwHJ8FqG

SCRIMMAGE:
- Crimson team: Langford, Moore, Green, Fitzner, McRoberts, Anderson, Phinisee, Smith
- Cream team: Hunter, Morgan, Thompson, Durham, Jager, Forrester, Blackmon, Taylor, Davis
Chuck Crabb back on the PA which is always nice to hear.
Coaches appear to have just given the green light here as you would expect. A lot of free styling and three point shooting. Zach McRoberts even forced one up from distance.
The Cream beat the Crimson 29-25.
A few impressions:
- Evan Fitzner had three 3-pointers by our count.
- Race Thompson was very active on both ends and appears ready to contribute.
- Al Durham showed the ability to lead at the point guard position. He was particularly impressive.
- Jake Forrester, Damezi Anderson and Clifton Moore all flashed skills that will help them see the floor.
You can’t and we won’t read too much into the scrimmage session, but the notion that this team is deep has been further substantiated.
The players closed things out with an autograph session for the fans.
