Former IU defensive back Marcus Floyd joined the Life and Football podcast.
Originally a University of Florida commit, Floyd ended up in Bloomington from 1997 to 2001. He began his college career as a running back, and recorded a 105 yard rushing performance against Cincinnati in 1998. After switching to cornerback, Floyd led IU with three interceptions during his final season in 2001.
Floyd tells the interesting and improbable stories of how he ended up at IU and in the NFL.
After his college career, Floyd was signed by the New York Jets, and made the team as an undrafted free agent. Floyd had a four-year career in the NFL. He also played for the Buffalo Bills and the Carolina Panthers.
Floyd is now a pastor at the Burkett Chapple in his hometown of Bartow, Florida.
