When he was hired as a defensive coordinator at tiny Temple Heights High School in Florida at age 23, becoming a head coach in the Big Ten was the furthest thing from Tom Allen’s mind.
But a track record of not only success at multiple stops, but also the ability to turn around downtrodden programs ultimately made him the perfect fit for IU.
Allen spoke with Kyle Decker and Calvin Blackmon on the Underdog Podcast as the trio retraced the now fifth year Indiana head coach’s path to Bloomington.
