IU basketball legend Keith Smart joined our friends at the 1 Star Recruits podcast earlier this week.
Smart started 52 games for the Hoosiers, averaging 13.2 points as a senior and 11.2 points as a junior. He was named Co-MVP of the team in 1988 and is tied for the IU single-game record with 15 assists which he recorded in an NCAA tournament game win over Auburn in 1987.
Smart talks about his 1987 national championship game winning shot, the 2020 Bob Knight reunion, his coaching career, and much more. The segment with Smart begins at the 16 minute mark and runs for about 25 minutes.
