Hoosiers Connect, the Official NIL Collective of Indiana University Athletics, announced a partnership with Assembly Ball, the IU alumni TBT team, to raise NIL funds for IU student-athletes and support former IU men’s basketball players as they participate in TBT.
The Basketball Tournament, known as TBT, is a 64-team basketball tournament in which teams enter to play to take home a $1 million, winner-take-all prize. Assembly Ball entered TBT as an IU basketball alumni team on May 1 and has since received commitments from Yogi Ferrell, Devonte Green, Jordan Hulls, Miller Kopp, Juwan Morgan, and Troy Williams.
The collaboration between Hoosiers Connect and Assembly Ball will give IU basketball fans the opportunity to engage with current and former IU men’s basketball players and, in turn, provide NIL opportunities for current student-athletes and support the Assembly Ball team as they play in TBT.
A sweepstakes for a VIP experience for two at the Assembly Ball TBT game on July 19 at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis officially kicks off the partnership between Hoosiers Connect and Assembly Ball. Fans can enter the sweepstakes for a chance to be seated on the bench during the game, gain locker room access, receive Assembly Ball and Hoosiers Connect merch, and more. Sales from the sweepstakes will benefit Hoosiers Connect and Assembly Ball.
Hoosiers Connect says additional components of the partnership will be announced in the coming weeks and include a meet and greet event with the Assembly Ball team in Bloomington and a podcast series that will include current IU men’s basketball players.
