IU basketball legend Calbert Cheaney joined the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame podcast.
Cheaney discusses growing up in Evansville, his early rooting interests, helping Harrison H.S. to success and experiences ranging from playing for Bob Knight, a memorable NBA Playoff game against Michael Jordan and his coaching career.
Cheaney’s 2,613 career points from 1989-93 still stand as the most in IU and Big Ten history. He earned Big Ten and National Player of the Year honors as a senior in 1993. He was selected No. 6 overall in the 1993 NBA Draft and went on to play 13 professional seasons.
