It isn’t a major list cut, but we have some clarity from in-state class of 2025 5-star Jalen Haralson.
Going forward Haralson will consider Auburn, Duke, Gonzaga, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan State, Missouri, Notre Dame, and Purdue.
Originally from the Anderson, Ind. area, Haralson played two years at Fishers H.S. in the Indianapolis suburbs before transferring to La Lumiere in LaPorte, Ind.
Haralson has taken multiple visits to IU since the Hoosiers offered him back in October of 2021.
In an interview with Joe Tipton of On3, Haralson gave his latest thoughts on Indiana.
“The fan base is what everybody looks at. A real intense fanbase. They show a lot of love on visits,” Haralson told Tipton. “My brother went to school there so I’m real familiar with the campus. Coach (Mike) Woodson is a player’s coach. He listens to what players have to say and adapts. It’s kind of like family, the staff to me. I’ve known them since I was 14, eighth or ninth grade so its just a lot of love from Indiana.”
Haralson appears to be 4-5 months away from a decision.
“I plan on finishing the recruiting process by the end of the summer,” he told ESPN’s Paul Biancardi. “Then I can concentrate on my senior season, win a Chipotle National championship and help build a team at my future school.”
The 6-foot-6 Haralson can play on or off the ball at the next level. He’ll probably be a wing facilitator similar to how Indiana uses Trey Galloway when he isn’t playing point guard.
Haralson is graded as a 5-star by 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN. He’s a consensus national top-15 prospect in the 2025 class.
