The last sporting event left standing has been postponed.
The Indiana High School Athletic Association announced on Friday that the 2020 boys basketball tournament has been postponed due to the COVID-19 virus.
“So sad for these boys,” the parent of one player in the tournament told The Daily Hoosier. “Heads were hanging.”
Indiana signees Anthony Leal and Trey Galloway, along with commit Khristian Lander and other recruiting targets will now wait to see if the tournament can be resumed at a later time.
“The association will continue to evaluate the utility of continuing the boys basketball tournament at a later date and will inform our member schools and the public as soon as a definitive decision can be reached,” IHSAA commissioner Bobby Cox said in a video statement.
