Too soon? No matter how you are feeling about the state of the Indiana football program right now, one thing is for sure — there will be another season in 2018.
The bad news? Unless the Big Ten realigns its divisions, the 2018 schedule will once again face the seemingly insurmountable wall that is Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State. Also, with the exception of Ball State there are no gimme games. Given IU’s recent history against the Cardinals we’re not sure that is a fair characterization of that game either.
The good news? No Wisconsin. Also, many of the games that are likely to be close are at home such as Virginia, Michigan State, Iowa, Maryland and Purdue. Two of the Big Ten road games are at Ohio State and Michigan. You might as well play them on the road — it really doesn’t seem to matter.
