Ohio wide receiver Miles Cross has committed to Indiana out of the transfer portal with one year of eligibility remaining.
Cross is the fourth incoming player from the transfer portal to commit to Curt Cignetti’s Hoosiers. He’s coming to Bloomington along with his quarterback at Ohio, Kurtis Rourke.
Cross was the Bobcats’ second-leading receiver last season, and finished fifth in the MAC, with 617 receiving yards last season as a junior. He racked up that yardage on 47 receptions, including five touchdowns. Across his three seasons at Ohio, he caught 104 passes for 1,295 yards with eight touchdowns. He primarily lines up on the outside.
Cross stacks up at 6-foot-1 and 213 pounds. He was rated a three-star recruit in the class of 2021 by 247Sports Composite out of Our Lady of Good Counsel High in Olney, Maryland. He originally chose Ohio other other offers including West Virginia, UMass, Liberty, FIU, Buffalo, and East Carolina.
The former Bobcat joins an IU receivers room headlined by Donaven McCulley, who also entered the transfer portal but opted to return. Omar Cooper Jr., E.J. Williams Jr., Andison Coby, and Kamryn Perry are Indiana’s other notable returnees at wide receiver.
