Indiana has made their first formal scholarship offer in the class of 2027.
Baba Oladotun announced an offer from IU on his X page on Wednesday afternoon.
Listed at around 6-foot-9 and 175 pounds by most outlets, Oladotun hails from Silver Springs, Md. (James Hubert Blake H.S.)
Oladotun plays for Team Durant on the Nike EYBL Circuit. As is the case with most recruitments in the Washington D.C. metro area, look for IU assistant coach Kenya Hunter to take the lead.
While there are no official rankings yet for the class of 2027, Oladotun is widely viewed as a likely top-10 5-star in the rising sophomore class. He may end up being the No. 1 overall player in 2027.
247Sports national recruiting analyst Dushawn London wrote this about Oladotun in May:
“There are currently no official rankings for the class of 2027 but Babatunde Oladotun has been in conversation for one of the top prospects in the entire class. Standing at 6-foot-8, Oladotun can handle it, create his own shot off the dribble, shoot over the top of defenders and is also very skilled playing out of the post. He has all the physical makings of a top prospect and is producing early on his career.”
Oladotun has already seen a wave of high major offers, including Maryland, LSU, Cincinnati, Florida State, Rutgers, West Virginia, USC, UCLA, Louisville, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech.
