Indiana women’s basketball is expanding its reserved seating sections in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, the program announced Wednesday.
IU implemented reserved seating last season, making rows 1-31 reserved for season ticket holders. Prior to that, the entire arena was general admission for women’s basketball games. Now, the entire lower bowl will become reserved. General admission will be limited to the bleachers behind the basket opposite the student section, along with the balcony.
The release announcing the change noted this move came “in response to a significant increase in demand” for reserved season tickets. Those who already purchased general admission season tickets can call the IU Ticket Office through June 30 if they want to upgrade their plans to reserved season tickets.
IU women’s basketball averaged 10,336 fans per game in 2023-24, becoming the fifth team in Big Ten women’s basketball history to draw at least 10,000 fans per game during a single season.
