The first sign of basketball season is here.
The Indiana University men’s and women’s basketball programs will hold their annual Hoosier Hysteria event at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Saturday, October 5.
That date represents a bye week for the Indiana football program.
The event is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. EST according to the school.

Hoosier Hysteria Presented By Smithville Fiber Set For October 5
BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – Hoosier Hysteria presented by Smithville Fiber, the official tipoff for the 2019-20 Indiana basketball season, will be held on Saturday, October 5 in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall at 4:00 p.m.
The event will feature both the men’s and women’s basketball programs and is free of charge. Fans are asked to donate a canned food item to benefit the Hoosier Hills Food Bank.
Men’s coach Archie Miller begins his third year with the Hoosiers and women’s coach Teri Moren begins her sixth season on the Bloomington campus.
