Evan Fitzner continues to travel East.
After leaving his home state of California for Bloomington, the next stop appears to be Europe.
Fitzner’s agent reported on Twitter today that the one season IU player has signed a professional contract to play in Denmark for Team FOG Næstved. That team plays in the Basketligaen, the highest level Danish basketball league, .

A graduate transfer from St. Mary’s, Fitzner appeared in 31 games and averaged 3.5 points during his lone season in Bloomington.
He shot 41.4 percent from the field overall and 30.9 percent from 3-point range while also contributing 2 rebounds in 11.2 minutes of action per contest.
While his season didn’t go quite as well as most anticipated, there were some bright spots.
The 6-foot-10 Fitzner’s most memorable game might have been when he came off the bench and scored 16 points and added 3 rebounds against Marquette. He made 6-of-7 shots from the field, including all four of his three-point attempts in that contest.
Fitzner also had a strong 5-of-8, 11 point game on the road at Iowa.
The San Diego native’s sister Emily will play volleyball for IU beginning in 2019.
