One of the two remaining uncertain pieces to the 2020-21 non-conference puzzle may have been uncovered.
The COVID-19 delayed season begins on Nov. 25, and Indiana appears to be set to host Tennessee Tech on that date.
The Hoosiers are listed on Tennessee Tech’s schedule on the program’s website. Neither school has confirmed the game officially.
The Tennessee Tech program is led by former University of Kentucky All-American and Hall of Famer John Pelphrey. TTU finished 9-22 in Pelphrey’s first season as head coach. IU associate head coach Tom Ostrom has worked with and under Pelphrey at several stops during his career, most recently during Pelphrey’s tenure as head coach at Arkansas from 2007-11.
IU is 4-0 all-time against the Golden Eagles, including an 87-59 win in December, 2017.
With Florida State confirmed last week as the opponent for the Big Ten / ACC Challenge, most of the non-conference slate is now known.
