Indiana forward Malik Reneau is with the team in Washington after being hospitalized earlier in the week.
Based on photos on IU basketball’s social media accounts, the junior forward was a participant in the team’s pregame shootaround at Alaska Airlines Arena.
Reneau is not listed as questionable or out on the Big Ten’s pregame availability report. He should be able to play. Sophomore guards Jakai Newton and Gabe Cupps are both out.
IU coach Mike Woodson was not sure of Reneau’s status after the Penn State game on Wednesday. Reneau went to the emergency room ahead of that game due to an illness.
Reneau was able to travel with the team on Thursday to Washington.
In his last three appearances, Reneau has posted 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game on 57.4% (27-of-47) shooting from the floor. He went over the 1,000 point mark for his IU career on Sunday against Purdue. He went 7-for-7 from the field in that game.
The illness was just the latest disruption to Reneau’s junior season. He suffered a knee injury in early January that forced him to miss six games. He’s averaging 12.8 points and 5.8 rebounds on this season, with 19 starts in 22 appearances.
Indiana and Washington tip at 6 p.m. ET in Seattle (Peacock).
