THREE KEYS TO THE GAME
1. It’s raining corn. Nebraska made 12-of-20 from three in the first half alone, including five straight makes in the final three minutes before the break that fueled a 14-0 run and put the game out of reach. Keisei Tominaga had 18 first half points and made four threes, and Brice Williams had 14 first half points with four threes.
2. Ware and Reneau eliminated. Indiana star big man Kel’el Ware was shut out in the first half scoring column. He combined with Malik Reneau to go 2-of-10 from the field before the break with four turnovers as Nebraska created problems with double-teams. For the game they made just 6-of-18 shots with six turnovers.
3. A massive field goal drought. Anthony Walker made layup with 10:26 left in the first half. The Hoosiers made just one other shot from the field in the half, and didn’t score from the field in the second half until the 16:30 mark. IU led by one (17-16) when Walker made the first half shot, and trailed by 25 in the second half before they made their first second half shot.
