Behind the scenes, IU basketball has had a talented and dedicated group of graduate assistants under Mike Woodson.
Isaac Green has garnered a lot of respect in both the IU basketball program and beyond, and Woodson has found an expanded role for the New Jersey product.
Green will begin his third season with the program and first as Video & Player Development Analyst. He previously served as a graduate manager for the Hoosiers, in which he played a role in player development, recruiting and much more.
Before his arrival in Bloomington, Green was a member of the 17U Nike EYBL PSA Cardinals coaching staff for six seasons under program director Terrance “Munch” Williams. He was the youngest coach on the EYBL circuit. In his time with the Cardinals, Green assisted in the development of six first round NBA Draft Selections – Ty Jerome, Omari Spellman, Mohamed Bamba, Cole Anthony, James Bouknight, and AJ Griffin.
Green knows current PSA Cardinal and 2024 5-star point guard recruiting target Boogie Fland, and interacted with him on a recent official visit to Bloomington.
“I’ve known him (Green) since I was much younger,” Fland told The Daily Hoosier. “Seeing what he has done with Coach Woodson and all of the coaching staff at Indiana, it was great to see.”
Williams told The Daily Hoosier last summer Green is viewed as an important part of the IU staff when it comes to PSA’s relationship with the program.
“You can tell Indiana fans, Isaac Green matters,” Williams said.
Green has earned two degrees from IU — a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the Kelley School of Business in May of 2021, and a Master’s Degree in public management from the O’Neill School in May of 2023.
