Mohammed’s Greenwood Laboratory (Springfield, Mo.) team is the defending 2A state champs and the 6-foot-4 slasher is leading the way with around 36 points and 16 rebounds per contest.
Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, Mohammed was named the Missouri Gatorade Boys Player of the Year as a sophomore.
Mohammed is the No. 13 player in the nation in the class of 2021 according to 247Sports. That service’s Jerry Meyer provides this scouting assessment of Mohammed on his profile page:
Not long for a wing but has a big, strong build. Can overwhelm opponents with strength and athleticism. Plays with great energy. Competes everywhere on the court. Good ball handler and passer. Scoring off the dribble is his greatest strength. Developing long range shooter. Quality rebounder and defender. Should develop into an first-round NBA draft choice.
According to Nick Baumgart of Rivals, Kansas State, Georgetown, Maryland, and Louisville are recruiting Mohammed the hardest along with IU.
Mohammed plays for the D.C. area Boo Williams Nike EYBL program in the spring and summer. He is No. 20 in these highlights:
