Below is our original “Names to Know” feature on Duncomb from last week.
Indiana is not the only Midwest state with a robust class of 2021.
Ohio can also boast six of the top 150 players nationally in the incoming group of high school juniors according to the latest 247Sports rankings.
One of those Ohio products is Cincinnati based big man Logan Duncomb. Indiana’s interest in Duncomb first came to our attention via a report by Stockrisers a couple weeks ago.
The 6-foot-9 and 220-pound Duncomb played on the U16 Indiana Elite team this spring and summer on the Adidas circuit. That team included other Indiana recruits such as in-state 2021 targets Trey Kaufman and JR Konieczny.
Overshadowed somewhat on a deep and talented high school team, Duncomb’s recruitment is just now starting to take off after strong AAU play.
Playing for Archbishop Moeller High School Duncomb, averaged 7.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 block per game as a sophomore according to a Cincinnati Enquirer report. He led his conference in blocked shots and field goal percentage.
Moeller went a perfect 29-0 for Duncomb’s 2018-19 sophomore season. The Cincinnati private school has won back-to-back Ohio D-1 state titles.
Offers have started rolling in this spring and summer from several high major programs including Cincinnati, Iowa, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Xavier.
Duncomb could be difficult to steal away from the various Ohio-based programs. Further complicating matters for Indiana, he grew up a fan of Iowa according to a 247Sports report.
