Indiana fans won’t have to wait much longer to learn where Liam McNeeley is headed to play college basketball next season.
The class of 2024 5-star forward will announce his college decision this Sunday (Oct. 15), ESPN’s Paul Biancardi is reporting.
McNeeley will be in Las Vegas at the time. ESPN is carrying the GEICO Top Flight Invite in Las Vegas, Oct. 13-15, and McNeeley is a participant with the Florida Eagles. The final round of play will be televised on ESPNU on Sunday, Oct. 15 beginning at 5 p.m. with the championship game on ESPN2 at 9 p.m. All games on Sunday, Oct. 15 will be simulcast on ESPN+.
McNeeley will announce a decision that came down to a final two of Indiana and Kansas. He narrowed from a top-six that also included Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Michigan.
The Hoosiers have been viewed as a favorite to land the Montverde Academy and Texas product for a couple months.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, McNeeley is the No. 14 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He’s also the No. 6 small forward prospect.
Indiana does not currently have a commit in the 2024 class.
