Things are moving fast with the recruitment of 2023 5-star Mackenzie Mgbako.
According to Andrew Slater, the national top-20 recruit will announce his college decision on Friday.
Mgbako is down to a final two of Kansas and Indiana. He also considered Louisville and St. John’s after de-committing from Duke a month ago.
Mgbako took an official visit to Indiana over the weekend. It was his final visit before the Friday announcement. He visited Kansas a few days prior to his trip to Bloomington.
The 6-foot-8 New Jersey product (Roselle Catholic H.S.) chose Duke over Kentucky a year ago. He is the No. 12 overall player in the 2023 class according to the On3 Industry Average.
If he chooses Indiana, Mgbako projects to play on the wing and will have a good chance to start at the small forward position.
