Indiana is not finished in the class of 2024.
Consensus national top-30 senior wing Bryson Tucker is currently on campus for a visit, his father confirmed with The Daily Hoosier.
A 6-foot-7 small forward from Baltimore, Tucker is graded as a 5-star prospect according to On3, ESPN and Rivals. He currently attends Bishop O’Connell H.S. in Virginia. Tucker played at IMG Academy a year ago.
Tucker was reportedly down to Kansas, Michigan State and the G League Ignite earlier this year. The G League Ignite was rumored to be the favorite for the McDonald’s All-American, but it disbanded recently and is no longer an option.
Indiana lost their lone class of 2024 recruit, small forward Liam McNeeley, last month. Tucker has a similar build, positional outlook and overall ranking.
247Sports’ Eric Bossi wrote this evaluation of Tucker on his profile page at that outlet:
“Tucker is a big wing who has a pretty polished game on the offensive end of the floor. He is able to use his size to finish in the lane where he is also a very functional athlete who can get off the floor quickly in small spaces, changes direction well in traffic and has a great frame to build on in a college weight room. Where he really stands out, though, is with his ability to score from the mid range. Tucker gets to his spots without wasting dribbles, elevates and is problematic for defenses trying to stop him from scoring from between 12 and 17 feet.”
The Hoosiers offered Tucker back in October of 2021 and have been involved to varying degrees since.
Tucker’s father, Byron Tucker, played at NC State and George Mason and scored over 1,000 points.
