One of the state of Indiana’s legendary high school programs has a player on the IU basketball radar in the class of 2025.
Playing for Crispus Attucks H.S. in Indianapolis, Dezmon Briscoe averaged 15 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks per game as a sophomore and was named the city’s Co-Player of the Year.
The 6-foot-8 Briscoe shows early potential as a power forward or small ball center who can also play some on the perimeter. His shooting splits were 59 percent from two, 27 percent from three (51 attempts) and 64 percent from the stripe.
Briscoe will attend Indiana’s Hoosier Hysteria basketball kick-off event on Oct. 20, and The Daily Hoosier is told he’s looking at other dates for a more focused look at the IU program. He also visited IU last November.
So far Briscoe has high major offers from Butler, Cincinnati and Iowa. He’s on the radar of IU and schools like Ohio State, Notre Dame, Purdue, Michigan State and others.
For spring and summer basketball Briscoe ran with the Indiana Elite program on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit. He’s a high-level rebounder who is tough-minded, aggressive and physical.
Briscoe made his first appearance in the national rankings recently. On3 has him listed as the No. 146 overall player in the 2025 class, and the No. 33 power forward.
