The state of Georgia continues to be a wealth of opportunity for Indiana led by assistant coach Yasir Rosemond.
Hailing from Powder Springs, Ga. (McEachern H.S.), class of 2024 small forward Airious (Ace) Bailey is the latest from the Peach State to receive interest during the first live period of the spring.
Trent Markwith of On the Radar Hoops reported an IU offer of Bailey, and we are working to confirm that part.
According to the 247Sports Composite, the 6-foot-8 Bailey is a 5-star prospect, and the No. 19 overall player and No. 6 small forward in the 2024 class
For AAU basketball, Bailey plays for the Athletes of Tomorrow (AOT) on the Nike EYBL circuit.
Bailey fits the mold of the versatile, positionless, long wing Mike Woodson wants to have in abundance at IU. He has a very high motor, which leads to a lot of rebounds and blocked shots, and his offensive repertoire is expanding rapidly with both an impressive mid-range arsenal and the ability to knock down threes. He was an All-State performer in the talent-rich state of Georgia as a sophomore.
Bailey comes from an extensive basketball heritage. His mother Ramika McGee played basketball for West Virginia. His father Richard Bailey also played in college, and his aunt, Venus Lacy, played in the WNBA.
Missouri, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Auburn, Tennessee, West Virginia, Murray State, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Tennessee State, Georgia, and Oklahoma have all offered.
