Indiana is continuing to look hard for long wings who can make shots from the perimeter in the class of 2023.
The latest member of that incoming senior class to receive an offer from IU is Virginia based prospect Jamie Kaiser.
Kaiser announced an offer from IU on Saturday.

Kaiser told The Daily Hoosier via correspondence last week that IU assistant coach Brian Walsh had reached out to his coaches and father over the last month to begin recruiting him. That quickly led to the offer as Kaiser has continued to be a prospect who has solidified himself as a high major prospect with a breakout spring.
The 6-foot-6 Kaiser was a multi-sport athlete until recently. He had Power Five offers to play football, but announced in April he was giving up that sport to focus on basketball.
Kaiser attends Bishop Ireton H.S. in Burke, Va. He led his team with 20.7 points and 7.1 rebounds in the WCAC conference.
For AAU basketball he plays for New World on the Adidas 3SSB circuit. That’s a program IU assistant Kenya Hunter knows well. He’s recruited recent prospects with New World like Tyrell Ward (2022), Favour Aire (2022) and Khani Rooths (2024).
247Sports’ Adam Finkelstein gave this evaluation of Kaiser after watching him a few weeks ago.
“Kaiser is a big-bodied wing with legitimate guard skills,” Finkelstein wrote. “He combines power, shot-making, and a very high motor to make a clear impact every time out. He’s a weapon from behind the three-point line, needs almost no separation to get off his pull-up, and also willing to take smaller defenders into the post.”
Kaiser is not currently in the 2023 rankings. But after his emergence this spring, his wave of offers and attention tell the real story. As is often the case, the rankings will follow.
Joining IU with offers this spring have been Virginia, Boston College, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Utah State, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, and Harvard.
Kaiser has recently taken visits to Virginia and Wisconsin. Since he is a 2023 prospect, IU will obviously be working to get him to Bloomington as soon as possible.
