Until Thursday evening, Indiana didn’t have a deep list of options at the four and five spots in the class of 2025.
They’ve expanded their prospects with an offer to Chris Cenac, Jr.. He announced the offer on his X account.
The 6-foot-10 Cenac averaged 13.9 points 10.2 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 1.3 blocks this season at Isadore Newman H.S. in New Orleans, La.
For spring and summer basketball, Cenac plays for the YGC program on the Puma Pro16 Circuit.
According to the On3 Industry Average, Cenac is the No. 30 overall player in the 2025 class, and the No. 7 power forward. He’s a consensus national top-50 prospect across all of the major recruiting outlets.
With his length and skill set, Cenac could play the four or five at the college level. Indiana has also offered Malachi Moreno and Bryson Tiller as true four/five options in the 2025 class. They also have offers out to Trent Sisley and Nate Ament, who project more as combo forwards.
On film Cenac is clearly not just a back-to-the-basket big man. He has ball handling and perimeter shooting ability. On the other end, Cenac’s rim protection and rebounding ability look like they could end up being his greatest contributions at the next level.
Cenac is one of the hottest big man prospects in the class. Just this week he has received offers from Ole Miss, Illinois, Texas, Creighton, Kansas, Baylor, and Alabama. Some of the other schools involved include Oklahoma, Rutgers, Louisville, LSU, Houston, Oklahoma State, Auburn, and Memphis.
In recent reports, Cenac has said he wants to schedule official visits in the August – October timeframe, and pick a school before his high school season begins.
