Indiana has offered class of 2027 in-state guard Jason Gardner, Jr.
The Fishers, Ind. product was a guest of Indiana at Hoosier Hysteria over the weekend.
Nationally, he is the No. 17 overall player in the 2027 class according to On3, and the No. 2 point guard.
Gardner, Jr. is the son of Jason Gardner, Sr. — the former Arizona All-American and 1999 Indiana Mr. Basketball out of North Central H.S. in Indianapolis. The elder Gardner is currently on the staff at Arizona as the Director of Player Relations.
The 6-foot Gardner, Jr. is a strong and fast point guard who can lead the break, break down his man, and also knock down shots from the perimeter. He’s on track to become a household name as the 2027 class continues to come into focus.
As a high school freshman in 2023-24, Gardner, Jr. averaged 7.2 points, 2.4 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game, and he shot 46% from the field. He helped lead Fisher H.S. to the 2024 Class 4A state championship. Playing for Indiana Elite 15u this spring and summer, he averaged 18.8 points per game on the Adidas 3SSB circuit.
So far, Purdue, Notre Dame and Cincinnati have offered from the high major ranks, along now with IU.
