After a strong showing to end his summer AAU season, Indianapolis based guard C.J. Gunn earned an offer from IU.
The 6-foot-5 Lawrence North High School product announced the offer on his Twitter page on Thursday night.

Led by head coach Archie Miller and assistant Tom Ostrom, IU has had a regular dialogue going with Gunn all summer.
Gunn recently told The Daily Hoosier what stood out about Indiana.
“Just the chemistry. It seems like the coaches really care about me,” Gunn said. “Just that they even took time out of their day to give me a Zoom call. It just feels amazing that they have me on their radar.”
More of a role player in the shadow of Mr. Basketball finalist Tony Perkins, Gunn contributed 7.1 points and 2.5 rebounds as a sophomore. Widely regarded as one of the top teams in the state, Lawrence North was 25-2 and had advanced to the Class 4A regional round before the season was canceled.
A high level athlete, Gunn wants to transition from a catch-and-shoot threat to a complete player on both ends that can score at all three levels and become a defensive stopper. He projects as a shooting guard in college, or as a wing in smaller lineups.
For AAU Gunn plays with the Indy Heat (Nike) program that recently produced Trayce Jackson-Davis.
Gunn is ranked No. 116 nationally by 247Sports. He is the No. 19 shooting guard and No. 5 player in Indiana according to that same service.
The Daily Hoosier watched Gunn play several times this summer, and it is clear that his game has developed since the high school season. He is a strong defender and Gunn showed an emerging ability to score off the bounce. Gunn excels in transition where he stays under control while playing fast, and he finishes with authority.
IU is Gunn’s second high major offer, joining Kansas State. Gunn also claims offers from Ball State, Miami (Ohio), and Alabama A&M, and he hears regularly from other high majors including Missouri, Cincinnati, Ohio State, and California.
Gunn is the twelfth player that IU has offered in the 2022 class, and he is good friends with fellow offer recipient D’Ante Davis. To see the complete list of IU offers, GO HERE.
