Indiana has offered class of 2025 big man Eric Reibe.
The 6-foot-11 Reibe announced the offer on his Twitter page.
“Indiana finished second in the Big Ten, one toughest and most competitive conferences in college basketball,” Reibe told The Daily Hoosier when asked what he knew about the program. “They have a rich basketball tradition, and a very enthusiastic fan base.”
Reibe is not ranked by the major national recruiting outlets at this time, but an impressive spring and his recent run of offers suggest that is coming soon.
Hailing from Germany, Reibe has only been in the U.S. for a few months. He attends The Bullis School in Potomac, Md.
A lefty with perimeter shooting ability, Reibe projects like a modern European center or stretch-four.
Reibe has been offered by Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Georgetown, Purdue, Maryland and Virginia Tech in the last month.
Reibe plays for New World AAU on the Adidas 3SSB circuit during the spring and summer.
Assistant coach Kenya Hunter is leading this recruitment for Indiana. IU recruiting director Jordan Hulls also played in Germany for several years.
