Indiana has accelerated its recruitment of another high-profile out-of-state guard in the class of 2022.
The IU coaching staff offered a scholarship to 5-star combo guard Zion Cruz.
Andrew Slater of The Athletic reported the offer on Twitter today.

Originally from Trenton, N.J., Cruz will attend Oak Hill Academy in Virginia for the upcoming school year. He announced the transfer to Oak Hill from Hudson Catholic (N.J.) in April.
Cruz checks in at 6-foot-3 and around 170 pounds. He is a versatile guard that can play on or off the ball and he checks all of the boxes that you would expect from a five-star including high-level athleticism, skill and competitiveness.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Cruz is the No. 20 player overall in the class of 2022. That service includes Cruz as a shooting guard and has him slotted at No. 5 for that position.
Cruz plays for the PSA Cardinals AAU program on the Nike EYBL circuit. He has been involved with several USA Basketball events as well.
The field competing for Cruz is as deep as you would expect for a player of his caliber. He also has offers from Maryland, Baylor, Ohio State, Louisville, Syracuse, LSU, Miami, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Iowa, St. John’s, Seton Hall, Rutgers, UCLA, and UConn.
